Bihar is located in the north east of India. It is thought that Bihar is one of the poorest states of India. This has often been attributed to the politicians elected by the people of Bihar. However, a new chief minister has come to power at the capital of Bihar (Patna) and things are changing, investments are coming in, factories are being set up, security has improved.
Bihar has even been voted as the most favourable state for investment in the year 2009. The new chief minister of Bihar is upbeat. He thinks that Bihar is changing for the better. As jobs are created; people have money to spend and hence buying capacity of the people of Bihar improves and hence the flow of cash. This is true strength of a nation, free flow of cash from one hand to another. This was seen in western countries, this is now being seen in India and Bihar is no exception.
Today walking in the capital of Bihar, one cannot notice that people are out and about on the streets shopping. For the first time in the history of Bihar in 20 years, Bihar has seen any development. The major Indian companies called TATA and Reliance has invested heavily in the state sensing the money making potential. There has been increase in the request for loans from banks for business setups. These activities suggest an upward trend in development.
Even the Indian film industry has invested in the local Bhojpuri film industry. Bhojpuri songs can now be heard in Hindi films, artists from Bihar are now acting in Hindi cinemas. No wonder was Bihar was voted as one of the most favourable states to invest in recent times and chief minister of Bihar was awarded "Indian of the Year 2008″ award in "politics".
