Central University at Motihari(East Champaran) in Bihar
Author : Rajesh k. Pathak mba mpm pgdlllw pgdexim Wednesday, July 28, 2010

There was news regarding setting up Central University at Motihari in Bihar. This news was really great, we will appreciate State and Central Government for such step to uplift the standard of living of people of this region. When I came across with this news , I personally thanked both  the Governments to care for East Champaran at last which has been neglected since independence, although being a glorious place historically it was supposed tobe planned and developed. This district is place of GOD of peace and non-voilence (Lord Buddha & our repsected Babu, Mahatma Gandhi). This region has turned Shri Karamchand Gandhi into Mahatma Gandhi and later Babu of the nation. This region has given another historical event of being called the place of largest Buddha Stupa in the world at Kesariya. it is believed that GOD Rama also had travelled in this region. This is one small step taken up by Governments to uplift the lives of lacs of people and to eliminate the backwardness of this region but many more things tobe done to uplift the economy such as creating facilities for tourists to visit the largest Stupa at Kesariya and other hostorical palces nearby places, putting up agro-based industries, setting up more numbers of cold storages, setting up more technical schools and colleges, communication and trasportation system upgradation, proper linkage and maintenance of roads, proper unification and linkage of village administration to district and state administration, setting up more numbers of water pump stations and providing clean healthy water to every one, proper village-market-town planning, providing more sanitation facilities and its proper arrangement and maintenance. More work tobe done towards farmers of all kinds, better support system must be provided by Governments to farmers of horticulture, aquaculture, bird and animal husbandary, commercial crops, establishing and re-organizing proper marketing co-opratives and channels so that harvestors, farmers, agriculturists, other persons and institutions could get benefits and work towards ultimate development of the area. But since long there is no news of University as it was announced long back, people were also ready to give away their lands then what happened? Is the whole agenda for setting up Central University being trapped/kidnapped by politics or is some work being done? There is no news yet!
