Place of Bhagwan Buddha & Mahatma Gandhi

You will be shocked to know that two districts in India East & West Champaran have been so badly neglected since independence.
Chapmparan was commercial very strong in the times of British as there were many types of taxes collected by Britishers, that time it was really very wealthy and prosperous districts in India.

This is most fertile agricultural area in India which grows almost all the crops with high yields. The history of Champaran has been very glorious and it is also widely referred in Vedas and granthas.

The first birth of Mahatma Gandhi has taken place in this district when Shri Karamchand Gandhi had come to this district to fight for its people against British Raj for collecting taxes unreasonably for cropping ' Neel' a raw materials for making dye for cloths, Here almost all the farmers were growing 'Neel' and coz of this crop and its business, champaran was very famous in India and the world. Shri Karamchand Gandhi has started his first SatyaGarha in India only in this district, and he was also not very famous leader at that time, few people in India were knowing him when Satya-agraha was started by Shri Gandhi and coz of its public support, Satya-agraha became so popular and afterwards Shri Gandhi has got full fledged recognition at national level, in this way this led to make Shree Gandhi as Mahatma and Babu of the Nation.

This district is full of unemployment; destruction of agricultural lands due to floods every year and drought.Educated people have become anti-social elements as there is no employment and their education has been in Hindi Medium so they can not do well with their education outside the state or country. Standard of leaving is deteriorating day by day as the population is growing faster.

This district is referred in Ramayana when Shri Ram has left Sita due to allegation leveled by a Washer man, the people of this district was so annoyed against the atrocities on Sita by Ram that when Ram was passing this area, people did not allow him to stay or take rest even one day.

This district is also well know as the biggest Stupa of Buddha situated at ‘Kesariya’ and it is also referred in Buddhist granthas, this was one of the famous centre of Buddhist, and it is believed that Bhagwan Buddha has spent some of his time in this district.

But now the situation is very bad, no govt. take notes of this district, there is no proper roads, it is not likened to its blocks, to travel 10 kilometer it take one and half hour by bus as the condition of road is so poor. there is no medical and engineering college in this area which can uplift the live of young children.

'Kesariya is land of Buddha where biggest stupa is situated' it is really unfortunate. Mainly in kesariay where Govt. can attract tourists coz of 'Buddha Stupa' but situation is very bad, no proper arrangement of transportation, Power, drinking water, communication, proper adminstration, cleanliness, health, education, proper roads, in the evening, there is fear of snatching, looting or stabbing, if any tourist enters into Kesariya Market and its adjoining residential areas, next time he will never visit, as it is really difficult to walk on those streets and roads, it is really worst. At least Those areas must be planned and manitained to attract tourists from Outside.
