Change or Amendment in Bihar Education System
Author : Rajesh k. Pathak mba mpm pgdlllw pgdexim Thursday, May 14, 2009

Bihar is one of the poorest states in India that everybody knows, but what is main reason for this poverty? To me Bihar education system is not in line with economic development of India, being Hindi speaking people and non-technical, they are unable to get jobs in private sectors in India and Abroad.

Hindi language is good but if it was totally applied in private and government sectors and it would have been common language to all then it was boon like Russia, China, France and other non-English spoken countries as they speak their own language and even though they are developed as their language is one and they work in that language.

My recommendation Government of Bihar is to change or amend Bihar Education Policy and make compulsory after 10th to have one year technical training composed of various stream of knowledge e.g. Civil Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, Wood work Engineering, plastic processing and packaging engineering etc. This would not be a certificate or diploma Course but a course which will give knowledge and training to all the student and then student can carry forward their further higher education. This training can be linked to higher technical education like diploma or degree certified by Bihar Education Council. All the training centers must be staffed or regulated by Ex-Defense personnel to have higher level of discipline.

Currently, Bihar Education system is based on producing more administrative Staff, but every student is not equal in caliber or ability or intelligence, some like technical work, some like administrative work, some like accounting work, Some like teaching work, some like to do business and so on. If all the Bihar Students depends on Government jobs either state or central at the end of day, they do not get anything and that is why they can not contribute in the progress of Bihar and slowly they are becoming liability or burden on state and at large on the country.
